The counterpart of the chest voice. Think of a soprano singing an opera or something else high pitched. That’s the head voice. The quality of the sound we make using our head voice is softer and ‘smoother’ when compared to the rougher textures of the chest voice. It is common to feel vibrations in the forehead, as the sound resonates there. The head voice is at the higher singing register and can be expanded to lower frequencies with training.
